Week 49: Compassvale, Singapore

Chronicles of Compassvale

Good morning everyone! I am excited but shocked to say that this is my last week here in Compassvale Ward. While I was talking to mom and dad on Skype, the assistants called and said that I am getting transferred to the 2nd (Chinese) Ward here in Singapore! Woo hoo! I am excited, but also nervous. Should be fun!

On Monday, We got to go to a cool History museum here in Singapore, which was very exciting.

The rest of the week was pretty normal...we got permission to Baptize Vishnu this Sunday in Compassvale Ward, so we are excited for that! The other people We are teaching are doing well also, Linda and her Family were at church, as well as another cool lady We met who is deaf. Overall, it was a great week!

I love you all so much! Can't wait to hear from you all!

Sorry this email is so short.

Best,
Elder Weatherford

During our Skype session, the APs called with Josh's emergency transfer. In addition, Josh told us that he had been sick with fever, and had found lumps in his armpits. He said --
First, I am pretty shocked but excited to be serving in the 2nd Ward, with Elder Pack! No need to be nervous, I am Staying in the safest country in the World!

I love you so much as well! Yes, Missionary Work can be hard, but it is so worth it!

I am so excited about your Mission and so proud of you! Serving a Mission (especially speaking a foreign language) can be scary, but you are the smartest lady I have ever met, I have complete confidence in you! I think setting goals is a great idea...Chapter 7 in PMG also has some good ideas. I like to set monthly, weekly, daily goals, make it really fun, and be patient with myself.

I am so grateful that you brought me into this beautiful World and into this beautiful Family! How I ended up with the best Family ever is still some thing that baffles me. I am just lucky to be alive!

I will definitely Send some thing to our Mission nurse about my lymph nodes as well. I think it is fine, No need to worry, but it would he safe to check it out.

I'm Famous!

Check out who got posted on FaceBook! Sorry for the swear words.
From Amy -- I will find this guy and kill him! No one says that about my brother! Don’t let it get you down, Josh. The best missionaries have always faced opposition. You are awesome!
From Nathan -- Ahhhh brings me back to the good ol mission days hahaha.  Just means you’re doing your job well, Josh! Keep it up!
