Week 41: Compassvale Ward, Singapore

The Collection of Compassvale

Hello! I still haven't thought of any cool names for the next chapter of my mission...any ideas? Collection was kinda lame...

This week was absolutely amazing! Singapore is such a nice place. The food is so delicious, it is so clean, the transport is so nice, and it is just such a paradise. I really like not having to use water filters, plus I have always loved subways, and the MRT here is so nice.

What we found really quickly is that missionary work is really different here in Singapore. We have found that the best way to find people is through the members, so this week we have been going around visiting a lot of Members. It is so fun, a lot of the members here are so cool! Our ward has people from Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, China, and Thailand.

We met a really sweet family from China who was interested in coming to church! So, Linda came with her two cute kids! Plus, a really cool member came back to church for the first time in many years, and she brought her kids. She has become a really good friend already! Woo hoo!

We had a potluck after church on Sunday, and it felt weird. It felt like I was back in America. I went from having a branch of 15 to a ward of 200, and it is a big difference. It is fun though!

Overall, it was a great week! I am really loving Singapore!

I love you all so much! I hope that you can feel my love and my happiness in the work. Life always pushes us, and it is up to us to smile through the journey. I love you all!

Don't forget to smile!

Best,
Elder Weatherford
