The Chronicles of Compassvale
Good morning good morning everyone! It is another beautiful day here in Singapore (105 degrees) and I am grateful to hear from all of you.
This week really flew by! I had 2 exchanges this week, one with the District Leader and then one with the Zone Leader. So on Wednesday I went with Elder Sorensen in the YSA ward, and then on Saturday Elder Franggia came to Compassvale for the day.
Also on Friday, we had a really cool miracle! This woman named Michelle messaged us and said "Can we meet today at 1pm?" We weren't sure if she was a member or not, but we set up an appointment. And then we got to talking, and she said that she was not a member and that the missionaries were teaching her before. She said that she had been baptized into another church, and we asked if the missionaries talked to her about baptism, and she said "Yes, when can I be baptized?" That question make me grin ear to ear. She is really cool, and we are excited for her to get baptized.
The Wong family came to church again, and they have really good questions but are still too busy to meet and so they haven't progressed much towards baptism. But we met with Sabrina's kids again, and they are doing well. We also met a nice man named Vishnu this week, and a girl named Megawati from Indonesia. Debbie and Elvis haven't progressed much since, which is too bad, but we still have high hopes. Overall, things are going quite well!
Other than those things, it was a pretty normal week. Sweating lots, feeling tired but grateful to be here, and eating rice.
I really love Easter. It still amazes me the depth of God's plan for each of us, and how important the Savior and His Resurrection is to that plan. He lives, and because of that we will live again. Any pain that is caused by death can be overcome, because of Him. It is a wonderful day to remember Him and the pain He endured for us.
Don't forget to smile!
Best,
Elder Weatherford
