The Sermon of Second Ward
Do you remember the time I got transferred to Cheras? That was cute. But more on that later.
This has been a crazy crazy week!
First, I went on exchanges with Elder Hunter to teach him a little bit about being District Leader. Elder Hunter is so cool, it is always a Blast to go on exchanges with him!
We taught Meng Jia the Word of Wisdom, which is always a major turning point in some one's conversion. We taught it to her and then she said "I remember that we talked about it at church the first week I came" and then pulled out her phone and showed us pictures of notes she had taken about it, and she explained that she had been living it since she heard about it. That doesn't happen every day!
On Friday, Elder King, Elder Strong's trainee, got to Singapore, so I was in a trio with him and Elder Bickmore. Then on Friday night, Elder Strong and Elder Crowther flew back to Singapore. But crazy news, Elder Crowther did not end up making it into Singapore, so he is staying in Taiwan. So we picked up Elder Strong at about midnight and then went home and slept.
In the morning, we Packed up all of Elder Crowther's stuff and brought it to the airport and begged them to put his bags onto his flight. They were a little hesitant because he wasn't there in person, but eventually they let us put a S450 Bag on the plane for free. Miracles!
So, long story short, since Elder Crowther is not here, I am going to be staying in the Second Ward to finish Elder Bickmore's training!!!! I was excited to go to KL, but I am also excited to stay here for one more transfer. I will never say No to having more Chinese people in my life.
Other than that, it was a pretty normal week. Things are back to normal (only one Area to cover) so we should have a lot more time to find and teach! I am really excited for this transfer, To be in the same house with Elder Strong and training Elder Bickmore.
I am actually grateful for the chance I had to think I was leaving the Second Ward for a few days. I really did some 反省 (I think it's introspection in English?) and realized how much I grew and developed in the ward. Wow, life can be hard but you can grow so much. I am grateful that I have 8 more months to go out and spread what makes me happy.
I love you so much! Have a great week ahead and I hope you can feel my love that is hotter than the 45 degree weather over here in Singapore. Love you love you love you!
Best,
Elder Weatherford
