The Illusion of Ipoh

Good morning everyone! Hope you all are doing great and had a swell week!

This week was really great for us. First, we met with David, and he is really excited to continue coming to church and prepare for baptism! Woo hoo! He is the coolest guy ever...he is learning English, so every day he sends us a voice message of him saying "Good morning, good morning!" in his cute accent. Christopher is also doing really well...he was out of town on Sunday morning, but is progressing really well towards his baptism, which we are planning to have at the end of this month. We also met a really sweet family named Herbert and Lee. One of them is from Sri Lanka, and one is Malaysian Chinese, and they have a couple sons. We also met with Eddie, the guy we bumped into a couple weeks ago, and he is cool. He drove over an hour to come and meet us!! Overall, it was a fun week...we met lots of great people again had a really good time.

Ipoh is continuing to be hot, very hot! It is not really rainy this time of the year, and so most days and blue skies and lots of sweating! But it is going to be durian season soon, which is exciting! Durian is really good (to me) but appearantly it is fatal if you eat it and drink coke at the same time. Be careful with your fruits!

We are actually going down to Kuala Lumpur this Tuesday for a mission conference...Elder Meurs is coming and speaking to us, which is really exciting!

I am grateful for all of your prayers and thoughts. I really am having the best time of my life, even though moments are difficult. I am learning so much everyday and growing older and tanner and more mature. I love you all more than I could ever describe. Thank you for everything!
