The Sermon of Second Ward
I made it back to Second Ward in Singapore! It was sad to say goodbye to Kuching, but I am SO happy to be back here in Singapore talking to all the China people here.
They took Sisters out of the 2nd Ward, so we met with a lot of the people they are teaching to meet them so we can keep teaching them. We really have been blessed, we have a lot of people preparing for baptism!
Jia Min is getting baptized this Saturday! He passed his interview (even though he was nervous) and is excited! Yu Ze is getting back from China this week as well, which will be exciting! We are also helping Zhao prepare for baptism, but he wasn't able to come to church. Bummer! But Jimmy was thete, as well as Anna and her family and Jocelyn and Yuan Yuan. I think that there will be a lot of Baptisms soon which is exciting!
We also had our last Devotional with President Rowley this week. It is crazy to think that this week he goes home and then President Woo will be here. So exciting!
This Week I have been thinking a lot about time. At the beginning of the mission, the time felt so slow and wish it was faster. But now, I am almost 1 year through my mission. Wow, it goes by far too Fast, I wish it could slow down. Now I just want to use my left over time as fully as possible, because Before We know it it'll be gone.
I also love that Heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers them, even When We can't fully expressed what we want to. In the Song "Anthem to My King" there is a line that talks about God hearing "The songs we cannot Sing." it is a beautiful thought that God hears all of our desires and our prayers and is doing everything He does for our benefit. That is what I love most about the Gospel, is that Heavenly Father loves all of us.
I love you all so much! I hope that you have a great week and that you can feel my love for you all. Life is crazy, but it goes far too Fast. It is just up to us to enjoy the ride. Love you!
Best,
Elder Weatherford
This is Jia Min inviting everyone to his baptism! Isn't it adorable?
I also added some funny pictures of missionaries acting out the 10 commandments.
