Week 54: Singapore Second Ward Mandarin

The Sermon of Second Ward

Happy Fourth of July! We didn't really have any celebration of America's Independence Day here in Singapore (shocker!) but I hope it was a good day for you all.

This Week was especially crazy, which I think I say every week but this time I mean it!

On Thursday When We taught our English Class, we asked one of our members to say the closing prayer, and he got on a chair and kneeled and prayed! It was so awkward because most of the people there at English Class haven't been to church Before, and We were trying to help them have a good experience. Oh well, what is past is past!

Sunday was also a hard day. We went to go give someone a blessing, but in the end she didn't want a blessing, so When We left we kinda felt "why did we even come here?" But then we met a nice China mom and her son who were Christian and looking for a Chinese church to go to. Perfect, right?! Well right as we got their phone number, some Singaporean guy came up to them and told the family that our church is a cult and that they shouldn't go to the church. Ugg, that was rough, but oh well, what else can you do?

Other than that, things are going really well! Our teaching pool is progression really well, please keep YU Ze in your prayers that he will be able to pay tithing.

I love you all so much! Sorry this is short, but please know that I love you all!

Best,
Elder Weatherford
