Week 60: Singapore Second Ward

The Sermon of Second Ward

Hello everyone! It has been another great week...it kinda feels like nothing happened but also I think that we saw a lot of things this week.

On Monday, we went bowling with some of the other Elders which was really fun! I broke a hundred! And then on Tuesday, I taught District Council to our group of 15 missionaries (which is bigger than most zones haha)! One Missionary is here for a surgery so he joined us, and one was emergency transferred here. We also baked chocolate chip cookies with our English Class on Tuesday, which were so good!

This Week, we hit a lot of rejection, but We pushed through it and we met some really cool people. One of them is named Wang 汪, who came to church and is curious about why there are so many churches and is excited about coming to church. He is our miracle from the week!

Plus, Jimmy came to church this week, which was really exciting! He was unfortunately a few minutes late so he still doesn't have the gift of the Holy Ghost, but he is back and holding on.

We also had a great lesson with one of our less active young men who loves to play the piano...he played a beautiful rendition of "If You Could Hie to Kolob".

It was overall a really good week! Things are just going by way too fast, and I feel like there is always so much to do. But I am just trying to take things one day at a time, and focus on helping others and growing myself.

I love you all so much! I am grateful for all of the wonderful Prayers and everything on my behalf, you all are the best. I hope that you have a great week where you can feel the love of our Heavenly Parents who are always watching our for us.

Have a great week! Don't forget to smile!

Best,
Elder Weatherford 福长老

From mom's letter:  I am doing great! It has been a harder week but I can see that we need hard Weeks to experience the good Weeks.

What made it hard is that it seemed like we hit a lot of rejection this week...one man even yelled at me "I Know what you are doing and I don't want to Listen!" It was hard, I took it pretty hard.

But then the next day, we met this great guy named 汪 who had been looking for a church and is interested in learning about Christianity. Sometimes we have to go through hard things to prepare us for the best things!
