The Sermon of Second Ward
Good morning everyone! It has been another amazing week! From being followed to amazing member Lessons, so much happened this week.
On Tuesday, Elder Strong and Elder Crowther needed to go get some ingrown toenails taken care of (they joined the This Little Piggy Club) and so Elder Pack and I went on exchanges. While we were out, we ran into Brother Sorensen, who used to serve in this Mission. He treated us to Lunch and told us about some of the struggles of being a returned Missionary.
On Friday, we had a completely empty day, so we talked to people from 10:30am to around 3pm and then 5:45pm to 9:30pm. I think we passed out around 200 pass along cards, it felt great! While we were finding at a place with a lot of people from China, we saw this guy at the traffic light who was carrying a huge 8 foot stick. We said hello to him Before We crossed the Road, and then he started to follow us. We walked faster to escape him, and we ran into a McDonald's to escape. When we looked outside to see where he was, he was swinging his stick above his head and whacking the trees around him. Weird, huh? Glad we were safe.
Saturday and Sunday were Stake Conference, which was fun. Our ward sang "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd". And then Sunday's Conference was great. There wasn't enough Chinese translation, so a lot of the people We brought to Church didn't understand anything that was going on, but that is fine I guess.
Our biggest miracle from the week was that Judy came to church. She had been having a lot of questions, and so we introduce her to Yuan Yuan, who ended up being from the same tiny city in Henan China. They talked for an hour and it was so great, it was a really spiritual lesson and Judy feels a lot better now. Yuan Yuan bore testimony on how she has been looking for this church for 11 years, and she finally found it, and the Spirit just hit me so strong. Wow, I am SOO lucky. She has been searching for so long (5.5 years) and I was lucky enough to be here to see her accept it. Wow, missionaries are so blessed!
I hope that you had a great week! I love you all tons!
Don't forget to smile!
