Week 66: Singapore Second Ward

The Sermon of Second Ward

This was a crazy week!

On Tuesday, I went on exchanges with one of the Zone Leaders. He flew in with me into the Mission, but I haven't seen him in 15 months, so it was nice to catch up.

On Saturday, our church had a big play called "The Good Garden" to celebrate our church being in Singapore for 50 years. There were all sorts of cool performances from Tamil dances to Punjabi crlp celebrations to jazz music to Maria Carey. Elder Strong and I got to usher for both showing so we got to watch both, which was amazing.

On Sunday, all of the missionaries gave talks. It was my first time doing a full talk in Chinese, so I was a little nervous but it went really well. I love the 2nd Ward, it is crazy to think I have already been here for so long and I hope that I can stay here longer.

In terms of people, we stopped teaching Judy this week, which was hard. But, we have hope that she will come around soon. Every Missionary goes home and find out 40 years later that someone they taught gets baptized and becomes a really Strong member, so maybe Judy will be that person for me. We also met with Cui and he was so adorable. He said that spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most precious thing to do, which was cute to hear because he has No Religious background. Please keep him in your Prayers that he can progress towards his Baptismal date. We also taught Wang and Sally who are both doing really great.

That was about it for the week, it was fun and the Weeks go by like days. I love you all so much, enjoy general Conference (temple in Singapore?) and enjoy God's love and His perfect plan. Love you!
